Books for Business (from Amazon)

My Life in Advertising & Scientific Advertising – by Claude Hopkins. Originally written in 1923 this book has been the basis for many modern day advertising wonders. When you read this you will understand the basics behind successful advertising. It also has loads of case studies that you can adapt for your business. Everyone should read this at least twice.

How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling – by Frank Bettger. Another oldie but a goodie. Frank was an insurance super salesman in the early 1900’s. In the book Frank explains the techniques behind closing the impossible sale. He was good friends with Dale Carnegie of “How to Win Friends and Influence People” fame, both sharing a lot of ideas about personal communication.

How to Sell Anything to Anybody - by Joe Girard. The Guinness Book of Records named Joe “The World’s Greatest Salesman” twelve times and you’ll see why when you read his book. Joe’s secret? He had a very strong sales system that allowed him to concentrate on spending more time in front of his customers (his system generated the leads). Although Joe sold cars, there are a lot of basic principles that you can apply to just about any business.

The E Myth Revisited - by Michael Gerber. Almost everyone I speak with has read this book. If you haven’t then I’d recommend that you grab yourself a copy right now. It will revolutionise the way you do business. It focuses on why most small businesses don’t work and what you can do about it.

Think and Grow Rich – by Napoleon Hill. Again, this is a must read. It’s based on the “Law of Success” which came about after Napoleon Hill spent years profiling the most successful entrepreneurs and businessmen of his time. It’s sure to give you an “a-ha” moment and will change the way you think about life.

Living your Passion – by Keith Abraham. One of Australia’s premier public speakers on business and self improvement describes the 5 secrets to doing what You Love and Loving what You Do. Discover your true passion in life and at work and find out the simple systematic process on how to transform your dreams into reality.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – by Stephen Covey. Energise yourself and the people around you. This book is sure to have an impact on your productivity and business. Read this and you can’t help but make positive changes.

Wink and Grow Rich – by Roger Hamilton. Asia’s leading wealth expert, founder of XL Results corporation, serial entrepenuer, multi millionaire and seriously nice guy. How does someone accomplish all of this and still be in their early 30’s? Rogers book is a thought provoking insight into creating wealth and when you read it you will understand life has endless possibilities.

 

And something extra…

There are two people that I'd really like you to meet. Both have had a massive impact on me
as well as every one of my colleagues who have been around them.
